There are no other tricks except optimization of your site. To get your site ranked, follow the steps of SEO like Social Bookmarking, Article Submission, Press Release, Forum posting, Blog commenting, etc..

I do agree that backlinks plays a key role in SEO. Back links is one of the parameter and there are many other where we need to consider. On-page optimization factors, keywords and many more which would help us to increase the SERP's and targeted traffic.

I have created a website and i am at the top with the keyword/phrase : "For the good of man" and "forthegoodofman"
But I would like to know the lateset technique for getting on search results pages for other keywords.

It was overnight that i got on top for "for the good of man" and "forthegoodofman"

But I can't seem to get any other content that I have to appear on google search pages.
