Cannot leave comments/send messages on Myspace

Hi everyone. I have a bit of a strange problem here......

For some reason I cannot leave comments or send messages on myspace! If I go to leave a comment it will let me type it in and view it before submitting it, but as soon as I click on the "submit" button it just takes me back to my (myspace) home page and the comment isn't left! It does the same when I try and send messages to people. Evil or Very Mad

I've tried playing with my privacy controls and I've fiddled with Norton too, but nothing seems to solve this problem!!!! Is there an option in my myspace account that will help or somthing?

Does anyone know what causes this problem? Or has encountered anything similar before? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Very Happy

I am having the same problem and the people at myspace will not help me or reply back to me, from a myspace account I used to email them. They keep sending me auto reply on how to send a message. UGGG

Can anyone help?

the easiest way to get a better chance of reply is to email tom directly.. however he isn't accepting emails at the moment, he will be back online soon.. and no worries, even though Tom doesn't OWN myspace... he is still the webmaster and does still run myspace the way he always did, he is still the admin for the site.. so try to email him directly on this.. def a question for him

I also tried e-mailing myspace support without much luck.

Funnily enough, I can now leave comments, etc on myspace from my work computer. Just not from the one at home......
Could this be a security settings issue/anti-virus software problem????

im not going to completely rule that out as a possibility, however sounds like a script reading error, depending on the browser you are running there may be some tweaking that needs to be done to its settings to complete certain actions, to me it just sounds like and error in your browser, have you tried on any other computers either using the same browser as ur home pc??and how is ur work pc set up??

Myspace (as big as it has grown) is still really the efforts of one man.

There are many things about Myspace I hate such as the way there are so many nested tables on the profiles but the one thing I do like is the personal touch that Tom seems to give the site.

He always announces changes way before they are going to happen and apologizes when things go wrong.

I wish he ran my bank.

As for your problems I don't think they are HTML related. i think they are a glitch with myspace and you need to get support from myspace in some way.

Hi out there. I am relieved to hear that others are experiencing the same problems on myspace. I cannot post anything on anyone's page, but can get others posts. So I tried contacting Tom and like some annoying automated phone system, I was redirected over and over and told that I couldnt contact him direclty and had to leave a msg for their support department...fine I finally made it through all the press this and go here and scroll down BS that I was able to. I also sent an email directly to the support system from a different link. Both replies were simple cut and paste off their terms or privacy page, which really didnt help... So I deleted my account thinking that maybe someone was playing a joke on me and reported me as an offensive comment poster and disbaled my abilities. Well after all that trouble, and losing some friends b/c of whatever reasons, I still cannot post. I did recycle my old url address and contact email address...so maybe that it why, but I still deleted the old account, set up a new one and still cannot post. My husband is a software engineer and suggested it may be my laptop...which it worked before...I have not tried that simple solution yet, rather investigated deeper and found something very interesting...

I read that like a persons email account can contract a virus or bug, people have also been sending out virus in other peoples "post comment" section. I guess it doesnt come up as text or pic it is just a code that someone plants and can effect your myspace page in many different ways. So I am not sure what is going on, but that makes the most sense to me out of all the other crap that was being fed to me. I dont care how, just resolve it b/c with be able to post it is just fancier email account. So if anyone finds a code or asolution than please contact me. My husband will try to write a code to brake any bugs since he is writes and test software...I will post it if it works.

I have had the same problem for the last few weeks and did numerous things to my computer. I think what finally worked was reinstalling Internet Explorer 7 even though I already had it on my computer. If this doesn't work, post and I will try to remember what else I did last night.

Before I reinstalled explorer I couldn't even get my cursor on the post comment page. Everything is working fine now.

i am not able to leave comments on myspace. when ever i click on Add Comments it takes me directly back to my myspace. This is so annoying. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

I cannot post bulletings for about a week now. It keep saying "You've made too many posts today" I didn't signed on for 2 days straight and it STILL says that. Also my music player's play per day is not reseting back to 0. Its like my page is stuck on a same day even after days go by.

Whats wrong with this thing!?

Don't know if it's a Myspace or browser issue but this worked for me:
1.right click reply to comment link.
2.t Open in new window or new tab.
3.add comment window pops up.
4.add your reply.
