|

Hi. I have created a new template (.dwt) page in Dreamweaver, and I would now like to insert the template into 2 of my web pages.
Basically what I am trying to accomplish is to have this template replace some existing code in these pages. I am tempted to just copy and paste the code, but I would prefer to have this code attached to a template, so that if I have to make changes in the future, I only have to go to the template.
Dreamweaver wants me to assign the template to a specific editable region. I am not so familiar with these, and I don't seem to have any editable regions in the pages I want to update.
Is there a way to simply "paste" the template into the code of the pages I want to update, leaving this code attached to the template? |

I have not really ever used Dreamweaver but DWT are usually used so that when you make a change to something that is the same on all pages - all the pages are updated.
It seems like that is what you what you want to do to one extent. But if you want to paste the template, all you need to do is copy all the code (in code view), create a new page and copy the code into code view. you will have it but I would rely more on the DWT.
