Ok, I have been searching for a while now and have come down to two possible hosts for my site. Godaddy.com and startlogic.com I realy want to get godaddy's Deluxe hosting it has been suggested to me by many people but startlogic offers some nice stuff also but I don't know how much I trust them I realy want to go with godaddy.com because of paypal I have always trusted paypal for purchasing stuff over the internet.
So I come back to my question which should I pick to host my site and my domain name. I also like godaddy because you can get it to not show your personal information with your domain. So could I hear the pros and cons of godaddy.com that you people know of I am realy picky lol and hate those hosts that have those little secret background costs that you don't find out about till you register.
Thanks Alot Oy. |

I can't believe somebody says hostway is as good as godaddy. Godaddy is about one-third the price.
I've been building websites since the early 90's. I strongly recommend godaddy to all my customers. |

| Oy. Read your post back to yourself. You think you might want to go with GoDaddy? You can always change hosts if you're unhappy. |

I personally ran into problems with both Hostgator and Godaddy, but Godaddy is much worse because with Godaddy, you don't have cpanel, at least with Hostgator, you do have cpanel. The hosting company I recommend, especially if you're going to need an autoresponder or if you're going to use video, is GVO.
GVO has an autoresponder and video hosting included with it's webhosting package, but if you don't need an autoresponder or video hosting yet, and you're not going to be using php for awhile, than hostgator should be just fine.
As a sidenote, you should probably purchase your domain names and hosting from two different companies because most of the time, when you purchase them together, switching hosting companies will be like pulling teeth. |
