uploading page for website

hai guys
i need help in making a uploading page. i need one page that will get the file form the user computer and then upload it and place in to a folder on the server or just email that file to me.

other thing is that i only wnat customer to upload the .jpg or .zip file to upload so what parameters shold i take for that and i wana place a auto reponder to that when the files are recieved that the auto responder will send an email to the customer that your upload have been submitted.

please guys nee dhelp in that any language will work i am aorking with both asp and php servers so no worries over there plus the main problme is that i have very less info about both languages.
