how to resize the background image of a <td> tag

in above code in <td> tag pic1.jpg has a size of 500x400 .i want to fit this image into 127x127 in <td> tag.....

pls tell me how to resize the image so that it will fit in <td>

Since width and height is not applied to background images you'll have to resize to the actual size of the td.
